Prof Dr Peer Ederer

Peer Ederer has in-depth experience in finance, strategy, human capital and innovation dynamics, and is a globally recognized thought leader with over 400 publications and presentations. His focus is on the global food and agribusiness system. Trained in investment banking and at McKinsey&Co, he has since worked extensively with CxO-level decision makers in business and government on charting future courses of action, including in several board director appointments. Since 2004 he has directed the European Food and Agribusiness Seminar, which since 2014 evolved into the Global Food and Agribusiness Network. Since 2020 he is member of the Scientific Council of the World Farmers Organisation. In 2021 he co-initiated the ‘Societal Role of Livestock’ platform together with five other food system scientists. He graduated from Sophia University in Japan and with an MBA Baker Scholar (honors) degree from Harvard Business School. His PhD is in financial/human capital economics
